The Rise Awards are a prize-based award given to 3 categories: An Officer, An Agency, and A Community that exhibit every-day heroism. Rise was rebranded this year from scratch and needed a full system for a public-based nomination campaign and for the physical award + ceremony.

The concept of this mark started with the Axon Delta. I separated out the shapes and wanted to see if I could make it into something visually interesting. This repeating pattern represents one of Axon’s ideals that really appeals to this award, “Join Forces”. Through teamwork and community, our world is a better place.
In the trimming of this shape into another triangle yet again, I wanted to reference the Axon Delta and make it clear it started with Axon, but I wanted it to still be distinctly its own thing. I love how these fluid shapes make something softer and more delicate than the work we usually create at Axon.

Brand Expansion Proposal
After a couple years of success with this award, we found the need to expand it to all of our Award categories at Axon.
Axon Awards overall were in need of a visual tune-up. We want to achieve clearer brand recognition in order to grow newer award participation and nomination. Axon’s current award system can be disjointed without clear guidelines for production. Jumping of of the success and recognition of the RISE Awards with our customers, we’ve created a system of lockups in the same style that enhances and levels-up to the Axon brand while still holding their own in all deliverables needed around an award launch.
